The power of social media - YouTube

If you haven't viewed this YouTube video, you need to. It was created by the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR. The video has gone viral on YouTube and has had over 12 million views.  The employees of the health center put the video together to promote breast cancer awareness.  But in another and bigger way - what the video has done is gained the organization visibility and trust, broken down the barrier between patients and hospital staff, and just as important served as a recruiting tool.

It is the creativity and out of the box thinking of organizations like the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center who are leveraging social media and the power behind it to spread their message, build a brand, and frankly just have a little bit of fun.  Enjoy ~
